About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Spray Painter to join our team. This role involves preparing and spray-painting vehicles and automotive parts to a high standard, ensuring all finishes meet manufacturer specifications and company quality requirements. This is a full-time role (minimum of 30 hours a week, maximum 48 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities

Removing rough spots on vehicle panels using sanding and buffing tools

Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers

Filling dents and minor defects using appropriate materials and techniques

Selecting and mixing paints to match vehicle colour specifications

Applying primer and finishing coats using spray painting equipment
-
Spraying vehicles and automotive components with paint, varnish, and other coatings
-
Ensuring coatings are applied evenly to achieve a smooth and high-quality finish

Removing masking papers and polishing painted surfaces after drying

Operating and maintaining spray booths, drying equipment, and ventilation systems

Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment, including spray guns, nozzles, and hoses

Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality and manufacturer standards
Our successful applicants will have:

At least 3 years of relevant work experience, OR

A relevant Level 4 qualification (or higher)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Highly responsible and reliable
