AVO Enterprises Limited is seeking six drivers. The role involves ensuring the timely delivery of construction materials and parcels while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

  • Position: Heavy Truck Driver/Courier Driver
  • Pay Rate: $30 - $35
  • Minimum Weekly Hours: 30
  • Maximum Weekly Hours: 70
  • Location: Auckland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class 4 tipper trucks, courier vans, and small delivery trucks safely and in compliance with NZ road regulations and company policies
  • Load, transport, and unload construction materials (such as asphalt and aggregates) as well as parcels and general freight
  • Ensure all loads (materials and parcels) are properly secured, handled, and delivered without damage
  • Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirements
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation including logbooks, timesheets, and delivery records
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods
  • Use handheld devices and navigation systems for delivery tracking and communication
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and site teams to meet operational and delivery schedules
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and collections
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of all assigned vehicles
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE
  • Comply with NZTA road rules, transport laws, and company policies at all times
  • Work flexible hours including early morning starts, and occasional weekends as required
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support business operations

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience OR any Level 2 qualification
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
  • Available on weekends and early morning starts.
