Education Consultant

An excellent opportunity to join a well-established Christchurch-based international education company and become a part of a a professional and supportive team.

We are looking for 1 PERMANENT full-time (at least 30 hours guaranteed, workdays from Monday to Friday) Education Consultant to grow with our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.

 Key Responsibilities include:

· Provide professional advice and counselling to students and parents on education options in New Zealand, including primary, secondary, tertiary, and language programmes.

· Assess students’ academic background, learning achievements,and career goals to recommend suitable education pathways and institutions.

· Assist with preparing and submitting applications to education providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with provider requirements.

· Liaise with schools, universities, and other education partners to coordinate admissions, update course information, and maintain cooperative relationships.

· Support students throughout enrolment and transition processes, and refer clients to Licensed Immigration Advisers for any immigration or visa-related matter.

· Assist in planning and organising study tours, education fairs, and student information sessions.

· Maintain accurate and confidential client records and ensure all work adheres to ethical and professional standards.

· Keep up to date with education sector developments and programme updates to ensure advice remains current and accurate.

· Participate in marketing, promotional activities, and digital outreach to strengthen the company’s brand and growth across multiple international markets.

To be successful you will need to have:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Language studies, Communication or a related field, OR

· Minimum two years of relevant experience in education, counselling, or teaching

· Knowledge of international and New Zealand education pathways and qualification structures

· Strong communication and cross-cultural skills

· Ability to manage multiple client cases independently with professionalism and accuracy

· Commitment to ethical standards and high-quality student service delivery
