Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Bay of Plenty Region
Pay Rate: $26 – $34 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day‑to‑day orchard and fruit production activities.
  • Monitor plant and vine health, irrigation systems, and pest/disease conditions.
  • Plan and deliver seasonal programmes such as pruning, thinning, canopy management, and harvest preparation.
  • Allocate tasks to orchard workers and monitor productivity and work quality.
  • Train workers in correct horticultural techniques and safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee safe use and maintenance of orchard tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and daily activity logs.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure fruit meets production standards.
  • Report progress, issues, and resource needs to management.
