Settlers Country Manor is one of Auckland’s most sought-after wedding and function venues, located in the beautiful Kumeu region. We specialise in delivering exceptional event experiences and are now expanding our in-house media capabilities.
We are seeking a talented Film and Video Editor to join our team and support both client video production and business marketing initiatives. The Film and Video Editor will be responsible for producing high-quality video content for client deliverables and business marketing purposes.
This role supports both customer-facing wedding video production and internal commercial media development, ensuring consistent visual storytelling aligned with the venue’s brand positioning. You will play a key role in transforming raw footage into compelling visual stories that reflect our premium brand.
This is a permanent full-time position where you will be responsible for editing high-quality video content for weddings, events, and promotional campaigns. You will be required to work for at least 40 hours per week, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Editing
• Edit raw video footage from weddings, events, and commercial shoots into polished final products
• Apply advanced editing techniques including colour grading, sound design, transitions, and visual effects
• Assemble narrative-driven video content that reflects client expectations and brand storytelling
Content Management & Post-Production Workflow
• Manage digital media assets including footage, audio, graphics, and project files
• Organise and maintain structured post-production workflows for multiple concurrent projects
• Ensure timely delivery of edited videos within agreed production timelines
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Liaise with clients, photographers, and event coordinators to understand creative direction and delivery requirements
• Incorporate client feedback into revisions and final outputs
• Coordinate with external videographers where required
Commercial & Marketing Content
• Produce promotional video content for:
- Website
- Social media platforms
- Digital advertising campaigns
• Develop highlight reels and branded storytelling content to support venue marketing and sales
Technical & Creative Development
• Operate and maintain editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and related tools
• Stay updated with current video production trends and editing techniques
• Continuously improve production quality and efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
• Relevant qualification in Film, Media Production, or related field OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in video editing, post-production, and storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and creative judgement
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
