Rasila Produce Limited operates mixed‑crop horticulture production in Dargaville and requires a On‑Field Manager to lead all on‑field operations. This role is the principal operational management position, reporting directly to the Director and providing leadership to all farm managers, supervisors, and operational staff. The role is essential to ensure consistent production performance, operational efficiency, and compliance across the business.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the on‑field manager, reporting directly to the Director.
  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all other managers, supervisors, and on‑field teams.
  • Plan, organise, and oversee all daily and seasonal crop production activities.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to meet production, quality, and budget targets.
  • Monitor crop health, irrigation systems, pest and disease risks, and field conditions.
  • Ensure effective use of labour, contractors, machinery, and farm resources.
  • Maintain oversight of health & safety, environmental, and food‑safety compliance.
  • Review performance of supervisors and provide direction, coaching, and accountability.
  • Oversee record‑keeping, reporting, and production documentation across operations.
  • Provide regular operational updates, risk assessments, and performance reports to the Director.
