Store Supervisor

Full-time Retail Supervisor Needed (30-40 hours per week)

Sarvatit Food Warehouse Limited T/A Saffron Foods we are an Indian Grocery retail store focusing on quality, affordable groceries and veges products. We are the best-loved grocery stores in the Henderson area of West Auckland for its professional approach and attention to detail.

Location: Henderson, Auckland 

Skills & Experience Required

• 1 Years+ proven experience in local stores as retail assistant
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations and support the Store Manager in ensuring smooth workflow
• Coordinate and monitor staff activities on the shop floor, including task allocation and shift support
• Assist with staff rostering, basic training, and performance monitoring
• Ensure shelves are well stocked, products are properly displayed, and pricing is accurately labelled
• Assist in stock control, stock rotation, ordering, and merchandising activities
• Provide hands-on customer service, including operating the checkout and handling customer enquiries
• Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene compliance
• Support implementation of in-store promotions and sales activities
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods
• Support recruitment processes and onboarding of new staff when required
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures
• Handle customer complaints and escalate issues where necessary
• Perform other retail supervisory duties as required
