We are seeking a capable and analytical finance professional to partner with our client’s manufacturing team, providing financial insight, robust analysis and accurate reporting that supports better decision-making. This role sits at the heart of operations and plays a key part in ensuring financial systems, controls and costings are accurate while helping the business continually improve efficiency and profitability.

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Operations, you will provide financial support to site leadership through the preparation, development and analysis of key financial information and operational metrics. You will also play an important role in maintaining the integrity of the standard costing system and ensuring strong financial and operational controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Providing weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial and operational reporting to site leadership
  • Analysing performance and highlight opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Contributing to the preparation of manufacturing budgets, forecasts and financial plans
  • Maintaining accuracy and integrity of reporting tools including PowerBI dashboards

Financial Controls & Costing

  • Maintaining and reviewing the standard costing system, including costing of new materials
  • Supporting year-end audit requirements including stocktakes and asset verification
  • Overseeing cyclical stocktakes and review processes to ensure accuracy and integrity

Operational & Commercial Support

  • Reviewing material, supplier and overhead costs to support value for money outcomes
  • Assisting with supplier tenders to ensure competitive pricing and service
  • Providing financial input into CAPEX proposals and investment decisions

Business Improvement & Analysis

  • Analysing the financial impact of changes in cost, volume and operational performance
  • Developing cost models and scenarios to support business initiatives
  • Monitoring and reporting on investment and improvement projects

About You

You are a curious and commercially focused finance professional who enjoys understanding how a business really works. You are comfortable translating financial data into practical insights that operational teams can act on.

You will ideally offer:

  • A Commerce or Accounting degree
  • Management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and planning capability
  • Strong Excel and PowerBI skills
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking and sound judgement
