MORTI + ALEX CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is a growing construction company based in Tauranga, specialising in residential and small-scale commercial building projects. we are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and tailored building solutions to our clients. Now we are requiring 3 experienced carpenters to join us. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Interpret and work from architectural drawings and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials using hand and power tools
  • Construct and install framing, flooring, walls, roofs, doors, windows, stairs, and other building components
  • Repair and renovate existing structures as required
  • Ensure all work complies with NZ Building Codes and health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors on-site
  • Maintain tools and equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A minimum relevant NZQF level 4 qualification; OR at least 1 year of relevant work experience or a similar role. 
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and a strong commitment to workplace safety 
  • On-the job training may be required
