Manager

L & J Singh Limited, a professional courier service provider, is seeking a skilled and dependable Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across the Auckland region. The role includes supervising the delivery fleet, coordinating logistics, ensuring timely and reliable deliveries, maintaining strong customer satisfaction, and leading ongoing improvements in efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Key Duties:

• Manage day-to-day courier operations, ensuring all deliveries are completed correctly, promptly, and efficiently.
• Develop and organise delivery routes and schedules to maximise efficiency and meet customer expectations.
• Hire, train, and oversee drivers and support staff, encouraging strong performance and teamwork.
• Keep track of vehicle servicing requirements and ensure the fleet meets all transport and safety standards.
• Oversee operational budgets, monitor fuel consumption, and manage costs to maintain overall profitability.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and courier industry regulations at all times.
• Respond promptly and professionally to delivery issues, customer complaints, or operational disruptions.
• Monitor and analyse performance indicators to maintain high service standards and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and key business partners.
• Use logistics and transport software for planning routes, tracking deliveries, and generating reports.
• Provide the director with regular updates and operational/financial reports to support effective decision-making.

You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 to $40 per hour, subject to skills and requirements.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience or at least a relevant level 5 qualification.
• Excellent organisational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and set priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and consistently accurate work output.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrates solid leadership qualities.
• Highly detail-focused and thorough in all tasks.
