Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assisting in measuring, cutting and shaping pipes to prepare materials
• Assisting in laying and repairing sewage and stormwater drainage network infrastructure
• Consult with clients and external tradespeople about the location of drains and wastewater treatment systems that are to be laid or
• Assisting in installing below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support
• Assisting in installing, joining and sealing pipes and
• Assisting in setting out and installing hot and cold water systems and associated equipment
• Assisting to connect drainage systems to existing sewer
• Test drainage systems for proper function
• Operate machinery such as excavators and
• Any other drainage work that may require the assistance of a drainlayer.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

• NZQF Level 4 qualification; OR
• At least two years of working experience in relevant industry
• Work well in a team as well as individually
• Be well-organized and able to multitask
• Have strong Health and Safety awareness
• Be physically fit
