Assistant

This is a minimum wage job. You will need to be available to work on weekends and public holidays. Drug test and police check will be required for successful candidates.

• Sorting and Preparing Laundry: Receive and sort soiled laundry items based on type, color, and fabric care requirements to ensure proper cleaning and treatment.
• Operating Laundry Equipment: Operate and maintain laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, ironing machines, and folding equipment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Laundry Processing: Load and unload laundry into the machines, add detergent and other cleaning agents as needed, and monitor the laundering process to achieve optimal results.
• Stain Removal: Identify and apply appropriate stain removal techniques to treat stubborn stains effectively while preserving the integrity of the fabric.
• Ironing and Folding: Iron, press, and fold laundered items meticulously to achieve a professional and presentable appearance.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished laundry items for cleanliness and proper folding, ensuring they meet the organization's quality standards before delivery.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of linen and garment inventory, report shortages or damages, and assist with restocking as necessary.
• Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and follow proper sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a hygienic laundry process.
• Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other laundry workers and staff members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional customer service when dealing with laundry-related inquiries or concerns from clients or colleagues.
