About the role
We are looking for a trade qualified carpenter to join an established Christchurch based company who specializes in renovations, repair work and maintenance on a range of residential properties.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity to join a great team, utilising your expertise in carpentry and cabinet making to deliver high-quality residential construction projects.
Pay rate will be $35.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on your previous experience and qualifications.

What you'll be doing
- Performing residential renovations including kitchens and bathrooms ensuring an excellent finish on all projects
- Fabricating and installing custom cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in furniture
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications to complete projects to the required standards
- Collaborating with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Dealing with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Proven experience as a residential carpenter, with a strong background in carpentry and cabinet making
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Skilled in the use of power tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's licence
- 2 contactable references
