Job duties

Employer must:

  • Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
  • Make on-site preparation such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper and sanding machine, removing old paint etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
  • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
  • Apply varnish and other finishes
  • MAtch paint samples for touch up and other small projects
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
  • Any other duties the employer reasonable may require employee to perform

 

 Pay rate: minimum $30.00/hour - maximum $35.00/hour

 

Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum of 30 hours per week - maximum of 40 hours per week

Requirements for the job

  • At least  2 years of relevant work experience 
  • Full time availability
  • No criminal record
  • Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
