Job Description: This job is responsible for chef. They may be responsible for different tasks such as restaurant training, overseeing food quality, developing menus as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests.
This job is required to perform: (specific duty tasks)
• Assist Head Chef to plan and organise food preparation and cooking activities in alignment with the restaurant’s menu and standards.
• Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Assist the Head Chef in developing new recipes and menu items, ensuring consistency and innovation in dish presentation and taste.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the highest standards of culinary excellence.
• Oversee food storage, ordering, and inventory control to minimize waste and manage costs effectively.
• Enforce strict hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety laws.
• Manage kitchen workflow and allocate tasks efficiently to maintain productivity.
• Ensure equipment and kitchen tools are maintained, cleaned, and used properly.
• Liaise with suppliers to source fresh and high-quality ingredients.
• Assist in planning and costing menus, controlling portion sizes, and maintaining food cost control.
• Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional team culture.
• Step in to perform Head Chef duties in their absence.
Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple kitchen operations effectively.
• You must pass drug test and no Criminal Records.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Experience and Qualification Required:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; OR
• At least a Level 5 Diploma qualification
• AND Knowledge of Thai and Asian cuisine.
