Our client is an Auckland-based supply chain business specialising in storage, handling, and distribution of goods. The company operates a structured and fast-paced warehouse environment and is seeking skilled forklift operators to support its growing operations. 

 

About the role 

This is a specialised forklift driving and operating role, where forklift operation forms a core part of daily duties in a busy warehouse environment operating across flexible rosters. 

This role is a Full-time, permanent position with minimum 40 hours per week, across Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster (including weekend and shift work as required) 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Operating forklifts to load, unload, lift and stack palletised goods and materials  

  • Transporting goods between storage, racking, and dispatch areas  

  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers safely and efficiently  

  • Ensuring goods are stored correctly for accessibility and stock control  

  • Conducting pre-operational checks and reporting equipment faults  

  • Maintaining compliance with workplace health and safety requirements  

  • Supporting warehouse operations to ensure efficient movement of goods 

 

About the candidate 

To be considered, you will need all the following: 

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience  

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on forklift operating experience in New Zealand warehouse settings  

  • A valid New Zealand forklift licence 

  • Proven ability to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

  • Experience handling palletised goods, loading/unloading, and stock movement

  • Good understanding of warehouse processes and health & safety requirements

  • Flexibility to work weekends, rotating rosters, and shift-based schedules as required

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
