This role is to lead and oversee the daily operations of the joinery workshop, ensuring all production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met through strategic resource planning and team management.
key Responibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet client deadlines and business goals.
- Plan, organise, and control end-to-end production processes within the workshop
- Co-ordinate CNC maching, assembly, and job preparation activities
- Determine requirements for materials, labour, and equipment for upcoming projects
- Interpret and allocate tasks based on techical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct cost and time tracking, providing regular updates on projects schedules and re-prioritising work as required
- Monitor production output to ensure it meets strict quality control benchmarks
- Identify bottlenecks in the production flow and implement process improvements
- Direct and co-ordiante the activities of workshop teams and trade staff
- Report directly to the company director on production performance
- Ensure the workshop operates in full complaince with New Zealand Health and Safety at Work(HSWA) regulations.
