We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Small Engine Mechanics to join our team.
Starting pay, offered at $27- $35 hourly, will be fixed based on skills and experience, with 30-50 hours a week. However, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per the above pay rate. In this role, you will conduct maintenance, diagnoses, and repairs on engines in electric, pneumatic, and oil engine equipment and perform a wide range of related tasks, including:

  • Use test equipment to detect and diagnose faults in parts and electric/pneumatic/oil engines
  • Dismantle and rebuild, repair or replace engines, parts or systems
  • Provide services and preventative maintenance to small engines (such as change engine oil, tune-ups)
  • Test and fine-tune parts after repairs to verify correct operation
  • Ensure all important parts and potential troublesome areas are examined
  • Evaluate equipment and outlining necessary repairs to ensure compliance and enhance performance

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience in small engine repair, diesel mechanical repair, or a closely related mechanical role, or a relevant qualification
  • Flexible availability, including occasional weekends, depending on business needs
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on workmanship
  • A reliable and positive work attitude
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
  • Pre-employment drug test and police check required
