About the Company: Tauranga-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering tailored IT solutions across systems administration, networking, security, strategic planning, consulting, and hosted backup services. About the Role: We are seeking an Intermediate / Level 2, or Senior-level IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. This role suits someone confident beyond Level 1, comfortable handling escalations, working independently on client issues, and providing on-site support when required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing varied IT support to a diverse client base
  • Handling escalated helpdesk issues and complex troubleshooting
  • Break-fix support and technical problem resolution
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting: Windows 11 Pro, Microsoft 365 environments
  • Supporting email, server, and desktop issues
  • Installing computers, devices, and basic network infrastructure
  • Working with Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions
  • Logging and managing work through the ticketing system
  • Providing professional, client-facing onsite support
  • Acting as a reliable, value-add technical resource for clients and the wider team 
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in an MSP environment
  • Proven experience in a Level 2 or above IT support role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and environments
  • A solid understanding of basic networking (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Remote support experience and familiarity with: Active Directory, File permissions, DHCP, Network troubleshooting
  • Exposure to Microsoft Server environments
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with non-technical users
  • The ability to stay calm and organised under pressure
  • A professional presentation and strong attention to detail
  • A good sense of humour and positive attitude
  • A full driver's licence and your own reliable, presentable vehicle
