OKAY LTD is a growing automotive business based in East Auckland, specializing in the import and sales of new and used vehicles. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using both manual and computerized accounting systems
  • Manage and monitor cash flow and lines of credit, particularly relating to vehicle inventory and supplier payments
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and expenditure reports using accounting software (e.g., Xero)
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits, including vehicle purchases and sales transactions
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accounts are balanced
  • Verify financial transactions and identify/report any discrepancies or irregularities to management
  • Assist with GST returns and ensure compliance with New Zealand tax obligations
  • Maintain proper documentation for vehicle imports, supplier payments, and sales records
  • Liaise with external accountants and internal stakeholders when required

You are required to have

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same field OR
  • A NZQCF Level 4 qualification or above. No specific major is required if you have a bachelor's qualification or above.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prepare professional reports.
