The Role
We are seeking a Marine Operations Coordinator to support the efficient delivery of marine survey and inspection services. This role focuses on coordinating daily operations, managing schedules, maintaining documentation, and liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant service delivery.
The position also includes supporting operational logistics and resource coordination as required within day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily marine service operations, including scheduling vessel surveys and inspections
- Liaise with port authorities, clients, vessel agents, port authorities, and service providers
- Maintain and monitor job schedules to ensure timely completion of services
- Prepare and manage operational documentation including reports, certificates, and compliance records
- Act as the primary point of contact for client enquiries and updates
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities and communications
- Assist in coordinating access to vessels and marine facilities
- Support invoicing processes through accurate documentation and job tracking
- Coordinate operational resources including equipment, tools, or services when required
- Liaise with suppliers or service providers for sourcing requirements on a case-by-case basis
- Monitor basic logistics activities such as order tracking and delivery coordination
- Identify operational issues and assist in implementing effective solutions
Candidate Profile
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field
- At least 1–3 years of experience in operations coordination, logistics, administration, or related roles
- Experience in shipping, port operations, or service-based environments is advantageous
- Strong organisational and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail, particularly in documentation and compliance
- Basic understanding of logistics coordination and supplier interaction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment
- Combination of office-based coordination and occasional visits to ports or marine facilities
- Interaction with port authorities, clients, vessel personnel, and marine service providers
