Forklift Operator

GURSIFT INVESTMENTS LTD  Trading AS GK LOGISTICS needs 2 Forklift  operators on the day and night shift full time Monday to Saturday.  We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills & experience.

Forklift operator certificate required

 Full Heavy motor Licence required which needs to be equivalent to class 5 full new zealand driver licence.

Able to pass a pre employment drug test and non smoker because of DANGEROUS GOODS LOADS. 

Must have atleast 1 years experience in New Zealand or training will be provided if have less than year experioence. 

OSH Operator certificate required. 45 Tonne will be preffered.

• Detailed Duties:
  
  ● Safely maneuvering the stacker to lift, move, and stack containers according to
  work orders.
  Load Planning and Organization:
  ● Efficiently planning the loading and unloading of containers, considering factors
  like container weight, stacking height, and available space.
  Equipment Inspection and Maintenance:
  ● Performing pre-shift inspections to ensure the reach stacker is in good working
  condition and reporting any issues.
  Safe Loading and Unloading:
  ● Safely loading and unloading trucks and containers, utilizing designated
  equipment.
  Freight Verification:
  ● Checking and counting freight for accuracy, identifying any damage, and
  conducting inventory as needed.
  Documentation:
  ● Completing necessary documentation, such as daily checklists, time sheets, and
  incident reports.
  Safety Compliance:
  ● Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures when operating the reach
  stacker.
  Communication:
  ● Communicating effectively with supervisors and other personnel regarding
  operations and any issues that arise.

Qualifications and Experience:
∙At least one year or less of relevant experience required

∙Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operations.

∙Ability to perform minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment.
∙Good organizational skills to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods.

Minimum hourly rate: $30 per hour

Maximum Hourly rate : $32 per hour

Minimum hours: 30 hours per week

Maximum hours: 60 hours per week

Estimate start 6 pm to 6 am finish but may change as per roaster.
