We’re recruiting for a motivated Assistant Property & Business Development Manager to join the team, someone who wants to develop their career in both property management and business development.

For 40 years, Waikato Real Estate has been a trusted name in residential property management. As a family-owned business managing over 1,200 properties across the Waikato, they combine local expertise with strong systems, training and support.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced, relationship-focused role with a strong emphasis on client engagement, new business and growth. You’ll work closely with leadership and business development team, gaining hands-on exposure to how new managements are won, onboarded and retained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting business growth through client engagement and relationship building
  • Assisting with rental appraisals and attending meetings with prospective landlords
  • Following up enquiries and converting opportunities into new managements
  • Leasing new properties and delivering a strong first impression to new clients
  • Supporting the property management team with portfolio coverage when required

You won’t just be supporting the team, you’ll gain insight into how the business grows while building the skills and confidence to progress into future opportunities. Along the way, you’ll benefit from structured training, mentoring from experienced professionals and enrolment in REINZ PM4.

About You

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is commercially minded and motivated to develop into a business development or property management professional. You’ll bring energy, initiative and a willingness to learn, along with the confidence to engage with people and build relationships.
