ABOUT THE ROLE 

Are you an operational leader with a passion for excellence in food manufacturing? 
Addiction Foods is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Manager to lead our New Zealand production facility. 

In this pivotal site-leadership role, you will oversee the daily governance of our plant, ensuring we continue to produce world-class, premium pet nutrition for our global markets. You will lead a high-performing team, including managers across Process Development, Engineering, and EHS, to drive efficiency, safety, and uncompromising quality. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Leadership: Execute the site manufacturing roadmap and lead capacity planning to meet global demand. 

  • Quality & Compliance: Direct the site QA framework to ensure 100% compliance with MPI and RMP requirements. 

  • Asset Management: Oversee site-level CAPEX projects and ensure engineering reliability through robust TPM strategies. 

  • Safety & Risk: Act as a "Key Officer" under the HSWA, fostering a proactive "Zero Harm" safety culture. 

  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the plant operational budget, focusing on cost-optimization and Lean (Kaizen/5S) initiatives. 

  • Culture & Talent: Mentor supervisors and build a high-performance, engaged workforce.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 5–8 years of progressive experience in food or FMCG manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Technical Savvy: Expert knowledge of MPI/RMP regulations and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Skills: Proven capability in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and site project management.
  • Advantage: Specialized knowledge in Extrusion & Thermal Processing is highly desirable but not essential.
