We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator to join our team. The role involves operating and maintaining a range of specialised agricultural and horticultural machinery to support efficient farm and land management operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate advanced mobile plant machinery including tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and cultivation equipment
  • Carry out land preparation, planting, fertilising, spraying, and harvesting activities
  • Monitor and adjust machinery settings to ensure optimal performance and productivity
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and usage
  • Assist with planning and coordination of seasonal agricultural activities

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience OR a relevant Level 4 qualification or higher
  • experience operating agricultural or horticultural machinery independently preferred
  • Strong understanding of farm operations, machinery maintenance, and safety practices
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions

Additional Requirements

  • A relevant driver’s licence (Class 1 minimum; higher classes preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and time management skills
