We are seeking an experienced Civil Drainlayer to support the delivery of drainage and civil infrastracture projects. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of underground drainage systems, including stormwater and wastewater pipelines, as well as associated civil works such as culverts and trenching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain underground drainage systems, including stormwater and wastewater pipelines
- Carry out pipe laying, trenching, and excavation works for civil construction projects
- Read and Interpret plans and specifications to ensure accurate installation of drainage systems
- Assist in site preparation and ensure correct alignment and placement of pipes and drainage components
- Support and guide team members on-site and assist in coordinating daily work activities
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and operation condition
- Report progress and any site issues to supervisors
Important Note:
- Work will be carried out under the supervision of a licensed drainlayer where required, in accordance with New Zealand Regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in drainage, pipeline, or civil construction works
OR
Qualifications:
- NZ Certificate in Drainlaying (preferred) or relevant overseas qualification
HOURS: Minimum guaranteed hours of 30-40 hours per week
HOURLY RATE OR SALARY BAND: $31.00 - $40.00 per hour.
