No.7 Development Ltd, located in Remuera, Auckland, provides buidling construction, renovaation and project management services. Work locations can be varied but are within the greater Auckland region. This is a permanent full-time role. You must be available to work from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 1:00pm on Saturday, depending on the timeframe of each project.

Hours and Wages

Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed weekly. Up to maximum 60 hours per week may be available from time to time.
Wage is $28 per hour, with potential to earn $ 840 to $1680 per week

 

Key Responsibilities:

*   Cutting marked metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame-cutting torches and metal cutting machines.
  *   MIG welding on different thicknesses of steel, including sheet metal.
  *   Mechanical knowledge of trailer components such as bearings, suspension, and braking systems is an advantage.
  *   Fitting, assembling and welding metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate machinery and equipment.
  *   Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
  *   Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal materials.
  *   Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand tools and machines.
  *   Aligning parts using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  *   Joining metal sections using welding techniques, bolting and riveting.
  *   Inspecting welds to ensure quality and precision.
  *   Finishing products by cleaning, polishing and grinding.
  *   Smoothing welds using filing, chiselling and grinding tools.
  *   Performing other related duties as assigned.
  *   Participating in ongoing training and development to maintain industry standards.

Job requirements:

 *   At least 2 years of relevant experience in welding or machinery-related work.
 *   Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials when required.
 *   Comfortable working at heights or on ladders when necessary.
 *   Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
 *   Good attention to detail.
 *   Reliable and punctual, able to travel to different work sites.
 *   Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
