We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and capable candidate for the Store Managers position to autonomously manage the day-to-day operations of our busy store.

• Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

• Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Schedule expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

• Ensure availability of merchandise; determining and maintaining inventory levels.

• Order and organise purchases for the store.

• Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate supplies and pricing.

• Formulate the product requirements by testing the demographics.

• Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities.

• Determine needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends, studying market pulse.

• Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.

• Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.

• Set and maintain high standards of customer service.

• Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.

• Ensure Occupational Health and Safety & Food Safety requirements are adhered to.

• Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

• Determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing sales records, sales trends and take appropriate measures.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Essential Requirements: 

• Minimum level 2 relevant qualifications OR

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience

• Able to work long and flexible hours including weekends and public holidays 

You must also be energetic and positive person. You must be punctual and turn up to work each day unless you have a reasonable excuse.
