ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this newly created position, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding our customer base nationwide, and building long-term partnerships with clients across the hospitality, food service, retail, and events sectors.

You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and increasing market share for our eco-friendly packaging solutions. In addition to growing sales, you will explore opportunities to diversify and expand Nature Pac’s product offerings by identifying and evaluating new sustainable products sourced from domestic and international manufacturers. Working closely with the Managing Director and the wider team, you will develop and execute strategic sales plans, represent Nature Pac at industry events, and act as a brand ambassador for sustainable packaging.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to expand Nature Pac’s customer base nationwide.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients in the hospitality, food service, retail, events and other related industries.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and business development plans aligned with company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, new market segments, and growth opportunities within the sustainable packaging sector.
  • Identify, research, and evaluate new sustainable product opportunities — sourced domestically or from overseas manufacturers — to diversify and expand Nature Pac’s product range in line with company growth objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to support custom branding initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Represent Nature Pac at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline status, and business development performance to the Managing Director.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies and product offerings based on customer feedback and market insights.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant will meet one or both of the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a closely related field; OR
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a similar or related business development, trade, sales, or account management role.

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and business development targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into revenue.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of or genuine interest in sustainability, eco-friendly products, and environmental best practices.
  • Experience in the packaging, food service, hospitality, or FMCG industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience in product sourcing, supplier evaluation, or import procurement — including engagement with domestic and overseas manufacturers — is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A strong alignment with Nature Pac’s mission and values of environmental sustainability and community responsibility.
