Our client is looking for an experienced maintenance fitter to work in its manufacturing plant in Cambridge.
The role involves:
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
- Installing, aligning, testing, and commissioning machinery and equipment in a highly automated computer-controlled production line
- Using various precision tools and measuring instruments to fit and adjust components.
- Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling pumps, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
- Repairing and replacing bearings, seals, shafts, belts, chains, and drive systems.
- Carrying out preventative, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Supporting equipment upgrades and modifications on automated, high-precision production machinery.
In order to be successful in the role you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance engineer or fitter role
- Experience working on a highly automated computer-controlled production line.
- Experience with Six Sigma
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good, fast and accurate keyboard, data entry and word processing skills
- Ability to handle interruptions and work unsupervised
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
This role is 50 hours per week with rotating days and afternoon shifts.
The pay range is $42-$50 per hour
