About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operator with a valid New Zealand forklift license and a strong background in both warehouse operations and regular forklift use. This role combines hands-on forklift operation with day-to-day warehouse duties, supporting the smooth and efficient running of our busy warehouse.
This is not a delicated forklift-only role, you will play an active part in receiving, dispatching, stock control, organization, and team-based operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate counterbalance or reach forklift safely and efficiently
· Load/unload trucks and containers
· Receiving and dispatching goods – accurately process incoming and outgoing stock. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately
· Documentation checks - verify incoming and outgoing stock against relevant paperwork
· Replenish stock and maintain organized racking
· Stock control – monitor stock levels and assist with regular stocktaking and inventory management.
· Discrepancy handling – identify and help resolve stock discrepancies as they arise
· Team collaboration – use a forklift as part of your regular daily warehouse work
· Conduct daily forklift safety checks and report maintenance needs
· Follow all health & safety procedures (including site traffic management)
· Warehouse organization – maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized workspace.
What You’ll Bring
· Valid New Zealand forklift license (F endorsement) – mandatory
· At least 3 years of relevant experience in forklift operation and warehouse logistics – essential
· counterbalance or reach forklift license
· Good understanding of warehouse operations – from receiving to dispatch
· Reliable team player – able to work effectively and consistently with others
· Attention to detail – especially when checking documentation and stock
· Ability to lift up to 30kg and stand for extended periods
· Basic computer literacy for scanning and inventory systems
· Reliable transport to and from work
· Right to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident visa, or valid work visa)
