Pay Rate: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
About the Role
VNS Transport Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Store Manager to manage the operations of its dairy and vape shop in Greymouth. The role requires strong leadership, business management capability, and the ability to oversee all aspects of retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, direct and control the overall operations of the retail store
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to maximise store performance
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, control costs, and optimise profitability
- Maintain records of stock levels, sales, and financial transactions
- Oversee stock control, purchasing, pricing, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health and safety and regulations relating to vape product sales
- Recruit, train, supervise, and performance manage staff
- Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels during busy periods
- Ensure a high standard of customer service and handle escalated customer complaints
- Maintain store presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness standards
- Establish and enforce operational procedures and store policies
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate purchasing arrangements where required
- Monitor market trends and adjust product range and pricing accordingly
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- A New Zealand Register Level 5 Diploma (or equivalent relevant qualification), OR
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in retail management or a similar role
