Duty Manager  | Full-Time Permanent

We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Duty Manager to join our team at Budget Liquor 2009 LTD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and bring their leadership skills into a fast-paced retail environment.

About the Role:
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a minimum of 30 hours and up to 45 hours per week. Shifts are rostered between Monday and Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate ranges from $27 to $32 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high standards of customer service, store presentation, and cleanliness
  • Maintain compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Monitor sales and profitability, making data-driven decisions to improve performance
  • Manage liquor inventory, including ordering, stock control, and weekly stocktakes
  • Ensure cost-effective rostering and operational efficiency
  • Plan and implement promotional initiatives in consultation with management
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safety and security standards are upheld

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication skills with both staff and customers
  • Good understanding of beverage industry trends
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong organisational skills, including inventory and record management
  •  Minimum 1.5 years of experience dealing with, selling, or handling alcohol either in retail or hospitality.  

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)
  • Valid Manager’s Certificate
  • Clean police record
