Yard Assistant

Chardikala Limited is Looking for a Yard Assistant to join our team in Hamilton.

Position: Yard Assistant

Pay : $30 to $32 per hour depending on experience

Location : Hamilton

Minimum Hours : 30 per week

Job Duties:

• Assisted with unloading deliveries and checking goods against invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Maintained stock levels and ensured items were stored in an organised and accessible manner.
• Supported inventory control by participating in stock counts and reporting low or damaged items.
• Replenished and organised stock efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow and easy product location.
• Maintained a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety procedures.
• Handled goods carefully during movement and storage to prevent damage.
• Ensured accurate labelling and presentation of stock for easy identification.
• Assisted team members with locating and preparing stock for movement or customer collection.
• Drive trucks when required to complete loading/unloading.
• Followed company procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail when handling stock and maintaining records.

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of work experience in warehouse or retail.
• Able to pass drug and alcohol test randomly
• Available on weekend and day/night shifts
• Flexible for working between minimum 30 to maximum 70 hours weekly.
• Forklift License
