We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Hybrid Developer to join our team.The role is a permanent role, and based in Mount Wellington, Auckland. The required working time is from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and we can guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week. 

What the role entails

In this unique role, you will not only contribute to our technical codebase but also serve as the primary product & project management. You will act as the vital link between company leadership and our third-party technical vendors (including UI designers, Frontend/Backend engineers, and data architects) to ensure our digital ecosystem is built efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development tasks and oversee the integration of various system modules;
  • Implement and manage the overall software development;
  • Translate business requirements from senior management user stories, and write and test debugs code to into clear technical specifications;
  • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle across multiple systems (Portal, E-commerce, Internal Management, and Data Collection systems).
  • Supervise and coordinate the progress of external third-party developers (VUE H5, Java, etc.) to ensure code quality and milestone adherence.
  • Document and provide regular progress reports to management and facilitate smooth communication between technical and non-technical teams.

Education and Experience Prerequisites

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven track record in project or product management roles.
  • Full-Stack Proficiency: Strong technical background with experience in modern web and mobile frameworks (knowledge of Vue.js/H5 and Java environments is highly preferred).
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to oversee complex, multi-phase roadmaps (Phase I through Phase IV) across different business units. Especially a comprehensive digital roadmap for 20262028, including: Official Corporate Portals and E-commerce Platforms, Hotel Offline Ordering Systems, Internal Management Systems (Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics), Hardware-integrated Data Collection (PDA, RFID, IoT).
  • Strategic Planning: Experience in defining MVP (Minimum Viable Product) features and scaling them into full-featured platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation skills.
