Carpenters

Faith Construction and Consulting Ltd provides comprehensive landscaping services across Auckland, covering services from design and construction to ongoing maintenance. We are now seeking two carpenters to deliver high-quality construction work.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• At least two years of proven working experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Strong proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment
• Solid knowledge and practical skills in timber construction, including decks, fences, pergolas, and retaining structures
• Experience in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber components with accuracy
• Understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Key responsibilities:

• Studying drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials required
• Selecting and preparing timber and other construction materials, and setting out site layouts in accordance with project requirements.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber components using hand and power tools.
• Constructing and installing outdoor timber structures, including decking, fencing, garden frameworks and supporting structures, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
• Erecting structural frameworks and supports, laying sub-flooring for decks, and checking levels and accuracy of completed work.
• Installing exterior elements such as cladding, fascia boards, and frames where required for outdoor constructions.
• Assembling prefabricated timber components and fittings prior to on-site installation.
• Cutting and joining timber using appropriate woodworking joints and fastening techniques.
• Constructing basic concrete formwork for footings, posts and retaining structures when required.
• Repairing and maintaining existing outdoor timber structures, including decks, fences and garden installations.
• Working with a variety of materials including treated timber, composite decking, plastics and light metals where required.

• Competitive pay range: $29-$35 per hour based on skills and experience
• Flexible working location: Auckland Region Projects
• Guaranteed minimum working hours: 30 hours per week, may require to work on Saturday
• Stable full-time permanent role
