This is a permanent tower crane technician role based in Chipping Norton, southwest Sydney with a growing crane company operating a fleet of approximately 80 tower cranes across Australia. The work is technical, varied, and unlike anything available in NZ.

The Role

You will be based out of Chipping Norton in southwest Sydney, travelling to crane sites across Australia to carry out fault identification, servicing, maintenance, breakdowns, and commissioning. The fleet covers multiple brands including Terex Comedil, Moritsch, FM Gru, Raimondi, XCMG, Jarlway, and Yongmao. Weekend on-call is rostered depending on availability and is part of the role.

Day to day you will be across:
  • Fault identification and diagnosis on tower crane electrical systems
  • Servicing and preventative maintenance across the fleet
  • Breakdown response and fault rectification on site
  • Commissioning of new cranes as they are added to the fleet
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturer wiring diagrams and using diagnostic software
  • Working to strict safety standards on every job, this is safety-critical work
What We Need
  • Trade qualification in Electrical and a current NZ electrical licence, non-negotiable
  • Crane electrical or crane technician experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read manufacturer wiring diagrams and use diagnostic software
  • Strong attention to detail, this is safety-critical work and it is the number one filter
  • Comfortable with weekend on-call rostering when required
  • Genuine commitment to relocating to Sydney long-term
