S & V Horticulture Limited is seeking Tractor Drivers to join its team in the Bay of Plenty region. The position involves operating agricultural machinery to support a range of horticultural activities across multiple sites. The ideal candidate must be experienced and reliable.

The role requires travel within the region. All work-related travel and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Operate tractors and related agricultural machinery to carry out a range of horticultural tasks, including land preparation, cultivation, spraying, and harvesting support. 
  • Attach, adjust, and operate implements such as ploughs, sprayers, rollers, trailers, and other equipment as required.
  • Use tractors, loaders, and forklifts to lift, transport, and load produce, bins, and materials across work sites.
  • Transport equipment, materials, and harvested produce between orchards, storage areas, and dispatch points.
  • Perform routine servicing and basic maintenance of tractors and machinery, including checking fluid levels, tyres, and mechanical components.
  •  Inspect machinery and attachments before use to ensure they are safe, functional, and properly maintained. 
  • Identify and report any faults, breakdowns, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate machinery in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of equipment and adherence to site protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine use, maintenance, and daily activities as required.
  • Assist with general horticultural tasks when required to support overall operations.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you will be paid between $25 to $35 per hour.

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience operating tractors or similar machinery.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Available to work weekends and early starts as required.
  • Physically fit to carry out manual and machine-based tasks.
  • Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions.
  •  Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
