Due to continued business growth, we are seeking experienced carpenters to join our team.

Applicants must be based in Auckland. The hourly rate ranges from $28 to $35 , depending on experience, for 30–50 hours per week. Remuneration will be reviewed periodically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Studying Drawings and Specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
  • Ordering and Selecting timbers and other materials, and preparing layouts
  • Shaping and Cutting materials to specified measurements, using hand or power tools, and assembling and nailing prepared parts to form framework or structures
  • Erecting roof and window framing, building internal walls and partitions, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures
  • Building and Installing stairways, doors and window boards and fascia panels
  • Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
  • Cutting wood joints
  • Removing and Repairing existing fittings, conducting renovation and maintenance service for wood structures
  • Completing concrete formwork when required
  • Working with plastic laminates and metal materials when required

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' carpentry experience, or relevant experience in construction; or
  • A Level 4 qualification in a relevant field (carpentry or construction)
