Inventory Controller – Food Manufacturing

• $32 - $35 per hour (depending on experience)
• Immediate start available – Supportive team environment
• Monday – Friday (7:00am – 3:30pm)

We are urgently seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our client’s fast-paced meat production team. Our client is one of New Zealand’s leaders in the food industry renowned for setting the gold standard in food production. This is a hands-on role working in both chilled and dry areas, supporting production and dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory of raw meat, packaging and finished goods
• Monitor stock levels across chilled and dry storage areas
• Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure strict FIFO stock rotation to maintain product quality
• Work closely with production and dispatch teams
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Operate a forklift – counter balance / reach for stock movement and storage

Requirements:

• Proven experience in inventory control (meat processing, food manufacturing, or cold storage preferred)
• Current forklift license is essential
• Comfortable working in cold environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience using inventory/ERP systems
• A high level of understanding and knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP advantageous)
