We are seeking a motivated and capable Retail Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum of 32 hours per week.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining high customer service standards, and supporting business growth.

Auklet Traders Limited (Malayalikada), based in Auckland, is a well-established importer and distributor of Indian grocery products across New Zealand. Since 2015, the company has expanded its nationwide distribution network and, more recently, introduced direct supplier channels and retail outlets serving end consumers.

Our product range includes both ambient grocery items and frozen products, supported by multiple warehouses, storage facilities, and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Set and monitor sales targets, and organise promotions or in-store events to drive sales
  • Conduct inventory checks, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure the store remains well-stocked
  • Perform regular stocktakes and reconcile physical stock with system records
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Visit customer retail outlets to take orders and coordinate stock deliveries
  • Oversee day-to-day store operations to maximise sales and enhance customer experience
  • Supervise retail staff, including cash handling, documentation, and daily operations
  • Ensure prompt and high-quality service is consistently delivered to customers

Candidate Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook), and point-of-sale systems
  • A valid Full driver’s licence without any restrictions.
  • NZ Register Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in business or management (or higher),
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Remuneration
Hourly rate: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
