With growing demand for automation and quality assurance, one of their key growth areas is AI-enabled vision inspection technology, including advanced camera systems that integrate artificial intelligence to improve quality control, reduce errors, and increase production efficiency.


The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to drive business development across the manufacturing sector, particularly within Food & Beverage production environments.

This is a consultative, solution-based sales role where you will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to delivering capital equipment projects. With strong technical support and a portfolio of leading global technologies, you will be well positioned to build relationships, win new business, and drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development across manufacturing customers, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage production environments.

  • Identify and develop opportunities across marking, coding, labelling, vision inspection, and automation solutions.

  • Investigate new business opportunities within new markets that require variable data printing, traceability, and product identification. ( E.g. building materials industry)

  • Build strong relationships with production, engineering, quality, and operations stakeholders.

  • Conduct site visits to understand customer processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline development through to proposal and close.

  • Develop tailored, solution-based proposals aligned to customer production requirements.

  • Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to deliver customised solutions.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of capital equipment and solution-based opportunities.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.

  • Represent the business professionally across customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.

  • Travel as required to support customers across New Zealand.


About You

  • Proven Business Development or Technical Sales experience

  • Experience selling into Food & Beverage production environments would be highly regarded.

  • Background in selling technical products, capital equipment, or industrial solutions.

  • Experience in printing, coding, labelling, or packaging machinery would be advantageous.

  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to open new opportunities.

  • Ability to engage with technical and operational stakeholders.

  • Comfortable managing longer, solution-based sales cycles.

  • Initiative-taking, proactive, and able to work autonomously.

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
