Painter

2 Painters – Full Time | Auckland

Location: Auckland (various sites)
Pay Rate: $28 – $32 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (30–55 hours per week)

Requirements

· Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience； no qualification required

· Physically fit and capable of manual work

· Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

· Strong teamwork and communication skills

· Good understanding of workplace safety

Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation

· Clean and prepare surfaces (remove dirt, grease, and old paint)

· Patch holes and repair cracks

· Sand surfaces to achieve a smooth finish

· Apply primers and sealers as required

Painting & Finishing

· Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

· Ensure consistent coverage and high-quality finishes

· Mix and match paint colours according to specifications

· Apply multiple coats when necessary

· Carry out decorative finishes where required

Safety & Equipment

· Follow health and safety procedures at all times

· Use appropriate protective equipment

· Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment

· Keep work areas clean and organised

· Dispose of materials safely

Communication & Teamwork

· Communicate with clients to understand requirements

· Work collaboratively with other tradespeople

· Respond to queries from clients and supervisors

Quality Control

· Inspect surfaces before and after painting

· Carry out touch-ups as needed

Maintain a high level of attention to detail
