KS Horticulture Limited operates horticulture and orchard activities across the Bay of Plenty region and requires Machine Operators to support daily and seasonal operations. These roles are essential for operating horticultural machinery safely, maintaining orchard areas, and ensuring efficient completion of seasonal programmes.

Position Title: Machine Operator
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $28 – $35 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • 2 years of experience or Level 4 qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors and horticultural machinery for orchard tasks.
  • Carry out mowing, mulching, spraying (if certified), and cultivation work.
  • Transport bins, tools, and materials safely within orchard sites.
  • Assist with harvest operations and seasonal orchard activities.
  • Perform daily pre‑start checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Identify and report mechanical issues or safety hazards.
  • Follow health & safety procedures and traffic management plans.
  • Support general orchard maintenance and irrigation tasks as required.
  • Work closely with supervisors to meet operational targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and machinery use.
