Clean and Shiny NZ is seeking a reliable and experienced Business Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our cleaning services business. This is a hands-on leadership role managing staff, coordinating operations, maintaining client relationships, and driving business growth, particularly within the commercial sector.

 

The role operates with a high level of autonomy, with responsibility for ensuring consistent service delivery, managing team performance, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate daily cleaning operations across multiple sites
Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff
Maintain client relationships and respond to enquiries and feedback
Ensure services are delivered to required quality standards
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding service offerings within cleaning and related property maintenance services
Promote services and establish relationships with new clients and commercial partners
Manage supplies, resources, and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements

Skills and Experience Required:

At least 3 years’ relevant experience

Proven leadership and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Excellent communication and client relationship skills

Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability

Ability to work under pressure

Flexible to work additional hours and early mornings as required

Cleaning industry experience is preferred but not essential

Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on tasks where required

Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

What we offer:

Pay $45 to $55 hourly, depending on experience

Minimum 30 hours per week

Applicants must be available to work flexible hours as required to meet business needs.
