RMPY Investments Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage the company’s financial operations. This role is primarily focused on delivering professional accounting services.

Key Responsibilities (Primary – Accounting):

  • Preparing financial statements, management reports, and budgets

  • Maintaining general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions

  • Analysing financial performance and providing recommendations to management

  • Preparing and filing GST returns, PAYE, and other statutory requirements

  • Ensuring compliance with New Zealand financial reporting and tax regulations

  • Monitoring cash flow, expenditure, and cost control measures

  • Assisting with audit processes and liaising with external accountants or advisors

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining internal financial control systems

Secondary Responsibilities (Support Functions):

  • Assisting with HR administration, including employee records and onboarding documentation

  • Supporting payroll processing and employment compliance requirements

  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance documentation, including food control plans and Health & Safety management plans 

  • Reviewing stock control reporting and internal processes to support accuracy and accountability

  • Providing administrative and operational support to business management as required

  • Acting as second in charge to the Director

Minimum Requirements :

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 7 or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
    OR at least 2-3 years of relevant accounting work experience

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and New Zealand tax obligations

  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar

  • High level of attention to detail and analytical ability

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a small business environment
