Earn $100k to $130k leading your own crew in Brisbane. 400-500 house pipeline, Monday to Friday, and a company that controls its own work.
Why Apply

If you are a qualified all-round carpenter with leadership experience and you are ready to stop working for average wages in NZ, this is the role worth making the move for.
Our client is a Brisbane-based property developer and builder with a pipeline of 400 to 500 houses and townhouses in their own development portfolio. They are building their own in-house carpentry crews from scratch and need a Leading Hand Carpenter to anchor one of those teams. This is a leadership role with serious job security behind it.
  • Earn $100k to $130k salary plus super depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday only, 40 hours per week, no weekend work
  • Massive pipeline of 400 to 500 houses and townhouses — this work is not drying up anytime soon
  • Company controls its own development pipeline — not reliant on third-party contracts, no work uncertainty
  • Lead and build your own crew of 2 to 4 workers — this is a genuine leadership role, not just tools in hands
  • Brisbane lifestyle — great city, strong economy, and far more affordable than Sydney
The Role

You will be leading a carpentry crew on new residential houses and townhouses across Southeast Queensland. The primary focus is cladding and fix-outs with some framing involved. As the first in-house carpenter hire, you will be setting the standard for how the crew operates and helping to train new workers as the team grows.

Day to day you will be across:
  • Leading and supervising a crew of 2 to 4 workers on site
  • Cladding and fix-outs on new houses and townhouses
  • Framing work as required across the project pipeline
  • Training and guiding crew members to deliver quality, consistent work
  • Holding yourself and your crew to high workmanship standards
  • Working across spec homes and development projects as the pipeline ramps up
This is not a role for someone who just wants to swing a hammer. Keystone need someone who can lead, train, and set the tone for a growing team.

What We Need
  • Trade qualification in Carpentry and a current carpenter licence
  • All-round capability across cladding, fix-outs, and framing, no specialists
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a crew on site
  • Strong work ethic and reliable, consistent attendance
  • Genuine commitment to relocating to Brisbane long-term
Why This Role

A $100k to $130k salary with Monday to Friday hours and a pipeline of 400 to 500 houses behind you is a combination that is genuinely hard to find anywhere in the trades. Our client controls their own work so there is no reliance on outside contracts and no uncertainty about what comes next. For a leading hand carpenter who is ready to step up and build something long term, Brisbane and this role make a lot of sense.
