About the Company

Impress Company Limited is a New Zealand company involved in land development planning, project coordination, and associated procurement activities, including the 75 Okaroro Drive project. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team in Auckland.

 

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, as well as sourcing equipment and materials from overseas suppliers.

This role involves liaising with project teams, contractors, consultants, and international suppliers to ensure that project timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently met, while also coordinating development-related documentation, engaging with external advisers and stakeholders, supporting procurement activities (including import/export processes where required), maintaining well-organised project records, and providing regular reports to the Director.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities and timelines

·       Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence

·       Coordinate communication among internal teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, to ensure effective project delivery

·       Maintain accurate records of project progress, milestones, and variations

·       Support procurement processes, including: International sourcing and supplier liaison; Import/export coordination; Technical communication with overseas suppliers to ensure imported materials comply with New Zealand building standards

·       Preparing project budgets, monitoring expenditure, and reconciling project-related costs

·       Organise project meetings and prepare reports for management review

·       Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and project-specific requirements

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements

·       A relevant NZQF Level 5 Diploma qualification, or

·       At least three years of relevant work experience in project coordination, construction management, or a related field

 

Other Skills and Attributes

·       Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Sound understanding of New Zealand Building Code and compliance requirements

·       Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves coordination with overseas suppliers (primarily from China)

·       May require occasional overseas travel
