Night n Day is a well-established convenience store brand operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing essential retail and food services to customers at all hours. We are seeking a responsible Retail/store Manager to oversee store operations and ensure smooth functioning across all shifts at Masterton.

Position: 1* Retail Manager

Location: Masterton, Wellington 

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (minimum 30 and max 35 hours per week)

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Managing overall store operations in a 24/7 retail environment
Planning staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts, including overnight
Supervising, training, and mentoring staff to maintain high performance
Ensuring excellent customer service standards at all times

Ensuring administrative and audit processes are followed.

Managing stock levels, ordering inventory, and maintaining accurate stock control systems
Overseeing cash handling, daily reconciliations, and financial reporting
Maintaining store presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness standards
Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company policies
Handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally
Monitoring sales performance and implementing strategies to improve profitability
Ensuring security procedures are followed, particularly during night shifts
Coordinating with suppliers and managing deliveries

Analyse sales revenue and make forecasts.

Skills and Experience 

A relevant Qualification (Leve-4) is required to work for the role or  However, 2 Years of relevant work experience can substitute the qualification
Strong leadership and team management ability
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Mandatory Requirements
Must be available to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts
Ability to manage a 24/7 operational environment
Police Clearance Certificate required
Must be able to pass a drug test
