This is a hands-on coordination role where you will sit at the center of logistics activity, working closely with transport providers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure product gets where it needs to be, on time and cost-effectively.

On behalf of our client, a well-established New Zealand manufacturing business, we are on the hunt for a Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator who will support the day-to-day running of their transport, distribution, and inventory operations.

About the position:

You’ll be responsible for coordinating distribution and logistics activities across New Zealand and Australia, ensuring smooth delivery performance and strong supplier relationships. This includes:

  • Coordinating transport providers, freight forwarders, and warehouse partners

  • Supporting planning of stock movements across multiple sites

  • Managing import/export shipments (LCL/FCL) and associated documentation

  • Monitoring delivery performance and resolving any service issues

  • Maintaining accurate system data (inventory, safety stock, planning inputs)

  • Assisting with contract and supplier performance management

  • Supporting pallet account reconciliations (e.g. CHEP/Loscam)

  • Identifying opportunities to improve cost, efficiency, and service delivery

About you:

  • Experience in logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain support

  • Exposure to freight forwarding, warehousing, or distribution environments

  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with systems and data

  • Good commercial awareness and ability to manage supplier relationships

  • Solid communication skills—comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders

  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics would advantageous but not essential.
